AARP Experience Corps is a program of volunteers 50 years and older who are dedicated to helping children become great readers before they finish the third grade. The goals are to improve the literacy rate of children in grades K-3, strengthen communities and support hardworking teachers.

Volunteers serve 4-12 hours a week for the entire school year. You must complete 25 hours of yearly training, pass a basic literacy screening and agree to and pass a criminal background check.
